We understand that schedules can change. Sessions must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled tutoring session in order to avoid it being invoiced to your account/deducted from your hours, as more fully described below.
Key Details About Session Cancellations and Rescheduling:
- Advance Notice Required: Canceling or rescheduling a session requires at least 24 hours' notice in order to avoid being invoiced or have deductions to the hours in your account. For the benefit of the tutor, please cancel or reschedule as soon as you are able, rather than waiting until just before the 24 hour notice deadline.
- Late Cancellation or Rescheduling Policy: If a session is canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice, 30 minutes will be deducted from your tutoring hours; however, the tutor may be able to remove some or all of the invoice or deduction.
- Why This Practice Exists: Tutors reserve time specifically for your session, and can invoice late cancellations or rescheduling to your account because they have already allocated the time, preparation, turned down other opportunities, etc., and it may impact their schedules.
Rescheduling: Regardless of the amount of notice, it is also best to try to reschedule another tutoring session rather than just cancel, so you know when your next scheduled session will occur.
